Ok, so I’ve debated writing this, as I’m trying my best to have this blog be positive and healthy.  Well, life has happened to me and I wasn’t prepared!!

I stopped at Starbucks, too many times this week.  I also *GASP* had fast food a few times as well.  I’m not proud of this!  I’m ashamed and feel pretty gross actually.   I spent far too much money for sure!  I also drank little water, and did not exercise!  Nope, not once. Can you say, HOT DAMN MESS?!?!?!? The only healthy thing I did for myself was my Shakeology!

My kids were busy, my husband was even home this week and not traveling.  I got LAZY!  It’s true.  I’m not making excuses.  Just straight up lazy.

I was talking to my Aunt Michelle this morning in Montana about making our meal plans today.  So I did, and my husband grocery shopped!  YAY!  I feel very good about this week!

When I make my meal plan I literally plan everything.  I plan every detail down to having 2 healthy snacks a day.   I also plan breakfast, lunch and dinner.   This makes making my grocery list a breeze!  I found this super cute and free menu planner! When I plan, lots of things stay the same like lunch for example. It doesn’t have to be something different every single day.   Make it something you will follow.  Make it doable for you and your family, or you won’t want to do it again.

When I meal prep, I usually look in my freezer first!  This week I already have a few items ready to go.  I have a few servings of Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal already made, so I took those out of the freezer today.  I also have taco meat, chili, and spaghetti sauce so I took those out as well.  I always try to make more of what I need so I can use them later!

On Sunday, I will spend a few hours meal prepping.  Confession…..I have two teenagers that should be helping me, but is it so wrong I just want a little quiet time???  Probably, but I’m doing it anyway.;)  So back to Sunday, I will boil a few eggs, make my lunches for the entire week, and wash fruit and veggies.

Make a meal plan for the week!  You have time, plus it will save you time, money, and sanity!  I would love to hear how you get ready for your week with a busy family!  Or even your meal plan!

  2. After reading your latest post I don’t feel so badly about my week either. Also ate fast food and only exercised 3 days. No other excuse other than I too was lazy!
